Floral paintings for Aje Resort 24 'Element' Runway show

Showcased on the 16th of May 2023 at Sydney Modern Project in the Art Gallery of New South Wales the latest collection from Aje recalls the years of sultry Australian summers that inspired the house’s coastal-to-urban style.

I created this painted hydrangea motif for their show with bold brushstrokes heavy with paint and layered up expressive marks to build up a rich and multifaceted floral. Echoing the abundance of petals in these beautiful blooms.
